Russell Kirkpatrick was first introduced to the computer technology timeline back in 1980 in Sacramento, California, with the TRS-80 and Atari systems. Although both systems primarily focused on games, the TRS-80 was extra special as it was programmable. Tweaking games during this time became the initial step in a long journey of programming. By 1982, the KayPro II by Non-Linear Systems became a larger step for him with DOS ? then on to ProDOS by 1983. Shortly there after, several IBM and Apple computer systems came along encouraging further exploration of an assortment of other programming languages, such as COBOL. Sometime in the late year of 1983, Russell Kirkpatrick first completed one of two text based adventure games, comprised of nearly 21,000 lines of sequential code.
Moving to Hawaii in 1984, Russell continued his journey in high school. Attending the only offered computer course in his high school, he moved on in his remaining years assisting and teaching staff and students programming in DOS, Pascal, SOS, and COBOL.
In the early 1990?s Russell Kirkpatrick began his short venture in the United States Air Force in the field of Code Breaking. Just shortly his father fell terminally ill, and he honorably separated from the military in care of his father in Prescott, Arizona - whom passed away several years later.
By 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Russell Kirkpatrick worked for several casinos, Mahoney?s and Opera House, by developing a computer system that managed, tracked, and audited casino game profit/losses.
In 1995, Russell Kirkpatrick started his first online business venture in Phoenix, Arizona ? Vast Access. Vast Access was a short lived interactive online classified system matching sellers with buyers. Following this venture, he continued his pursuit for knowledge by attending the first offered software engineering program at the University of Advancing Computer Technology, formally CAD Institute (at the time).
By 1998 Russell Kirkpatrick obtained his Associates in Software Engineering then decided to move on networking technologies. Working with a local company, Installco Computer Services, he installed high-speed Internet services for USwest (at the time) and supported computer diagnostic/repair services. Managing implementing residential, businesses, and commercial LAN and WAN networks he began exploring telecommunications.
By 2000, Russell Kirkpatrick completed his system and network certifications for becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and CompTIA certified professional in both A+, and Network+.
MyITAssistant slowly emerged in late 2002, as a spin off to a former online venture offering match making of employers with job seekers - Codernotes. MyITAssistant slowly transformed from locating jobs for Technicians to representing computer support. MyITAssistant began filling the needs for computer assistance with local residential and business communities. Built completely by referrals MyITAssistant today consists largely of business owners and corporate executives ? many who have their own IT departments. |
