Using Strong Passwords

Common sense tells us that we should, but reality holds us far from that. The passwords we used are common names of pets, places or other memorable references that draw meaning to us. Often these passwords are slightly skewed, backwards, forwards, with a number or capitalized letter as an attempt to meet specified minimum requirements. And more often than not the same ones secure as assortment of accounts (bank, social media, utilities, email), in an effort to be memoriable.

What do all current laptops, netbooks, and tablets have in common? They all want to take your money. With that being said, which is the right one to invest in? While the original portable computer was introduced by Xerox in 1981 , Netbooks and Tablets have only been around in the mainstream market for about four years. Netbooks picked up momentum about in late 2007 when the most desirable features were the smallest size, longest battery life, and little-to-no frills. Tablets have exploded in popularity on the market in the last year. You can’t go into a Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, or Borders (R.I.P Borders) without seeing someone tapping on something that resembles a large cell phone. So, where do you put your money? We must first break them down individually so you can choose the device that best fits your lifestyle.

Android phones are quickly becoming the wave of the future. An Android phone does not merely mean talking and text messaging. The platform is powerful and capable of doing things just as if you were using your home PC, just on a much smaller scale.

The Android App Market allows you to download apps that will turn your phone into a flashlight, translate foreign languages, and assist with GPS-based navigation. All of this power is comfortably held in the palm of your hand. Being connected all the time means you can surf the internet while on your lunch break in the local park or ensure that you’re always on top of your emails. Some of the phones come equipped with a physical keyboard while others rely on touch-screen keyboards. There’s always a device available that will help fit your needs.
